Precision architecture, built on trust
A 40-hectare touristic city outside Bukhara — a master plan that turns the spatial structure of the ancient city, its Ark, Shahriston and Rabot, into a contemporary destination.

The plan is drawn from the city described in Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Ja’far Narshakhi’s "History of Bukhara", as it formed between the 5th and 12th centuries. Six of Bukhara’s eleven historic gates set the zoning, and each brings its own historic craft into its quarter — manuscript work and ornament, coppersmithing and armoury, wool and carpets, silk and the caravan trade, pottery and smithing.
A canal and a boat route run through the site, crossed by a lifting bridge. The programme holds small hotels, a three-star hotel, a guest house, villas, a museum, shops and restaurants, a 612-seat amphitheatre and a travelling circus — 680 rooms in all, for 1,444 guests.
